Job Title: READY! For Kindergarten Facilitator

Salary: $35.00 per hour; 50-75 hours per year
This position's responsibilities are to know and understand the READY! For Kindergarten program. READY! for Kindergarten consists of Age Level Targets (skill goals by age group), training, and tools to play with a purpose making learning at home fun and effective. Facilitate three, 90-minute workshops for each of the first five years of their child’s life over the course of a school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Dependent upon the individual assignment, the Ready! For Kindergarten Facilitator may perform all or a combination of the following:
- Facilitate 90-minute workshops for parents three times per year for children birth to 5.
- Organized with the ability to understand the developmental levels of children birth to 5 and how development builds over time.
- Develop passion among parents and caregivers to become their Childs first, best and most influential teacher.
- Build relationships between parent, child, family, school and community.
- Instill children with a joy and zest for learning that lasts a lifetime.
- Make learning and play fun and easy for parents and children birth to 5.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Creative, enthusiastic and reliable in READY! lesson delivery.
- Have a passion and understanding for early childhood learning.
- Be approachable/encouraging to parents, children and staff.
- Positive and supportive of READY! For Kindergarten program and participants.
- Know and understand age level learning goals, training and tools.
- Monitor program inventory and communicate needs to Sultan School District.
- Record video instructions that can be used at various times through the year.
- Have the ability to facilitate some workshops on ZOOM with a Sultan School District assigned license.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Requires concentration and adaptability with multiple needs being present.
- Protects confidentiality of district materials, respects privacy rights of participants and school district personnel.
- Required to adapt to shifting priorities and to frequently re-channel work efforts.
- Required to plan and coordinate workshops, at times under strict and challenging deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires focus for up to 90-minute blocks of time.
- Required to lift, carry and move packages and boxes that may weigh up to fifty-five (30) pounds without assistance (sometimes up and down stairs).
POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment.
- Requires fingerprinting and background check to determine that there have been no convictions involving physical molestation, abuse, injury or neglect of a minor.
EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, FORMAL TRAINING:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Experience dealing with young children and families.
- Washington State Drivers License
- Bilingual is preferred but not required
